Founded in 2019, Piece of Mind is a specialised school dedicated to supporting learners with developmental challenges. We offer a developmental milestone preschool program and provide tailored academic pathways through the CAPS, DCAPS and IEB curricula for Grades 1–12—adapted to suit the unique structure of our different campuses.

Our personalised education plans and age-appropriate assessments ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive. We nurture confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning in a safe, inclusive environment.

Piece of Mind Midstream

At Piece of Mind Academy, we understand the unique needs of neurodiverse learners. Our specialised programs cater to individuals with any Neurodevelopmental challenges such as ADHD, ASD, SPD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Auditory Processing Disorder, and more. Our preschool program follows a developmental milestone curriculum, designed to support early learning through a nurturing, structured, and play-based approach. This foundation encourages exploration, creativity, and confidence in young learners.
As children progress beyond preschool, we introduce a mainstream CAPS/IEB curriculum tailored to their developmental needs. Each year, we expand our grade offerings with the goal of ultimately providing full CAPS/IEB assessments. This gradual growth ensures that our teaching remains inclusive, practical, and responsive to each learner’s journey.

At Piece of Mind Academy, we understand and embrace the unique needs of neurodiverse learners. Our specialised programs are designed to support individuals with a range of neurodevelopmental challenges, including ADHD, ASD, SPD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Auditory Processing Disorder, and more.
Our preschool program follows a developmental milestone curriculum, delivered through a nurturing, structured, and play-based approach.
As children grow, we offer two distinct academic pathways:
DCAPS Curriculum: Focused on skills-based learning. We currently offer Grade R-4, with new grades added each year. CAPS Curriculum: Our mainstream academic stream follows the national CAPS curriculum.
